Kiel-Canal
The Kiel-Canal (in Germany NOK; international description Kiel-Canal, in Germany until 1948 Kaiser-Wilhelm-Kanal) is connecting with its 100 km the North Sea (Elbmündung) with the Baltic Sea (Kieler Förde). Locks are at both ends in Kiel-Holtenau and Brunsbüttel. Several ships are using the canal to save time for a connecting trip between North and Baltic Sea. A brilliant view is a cruise liner which is passing the canal.
